Who is The NERD?

My name is Melissa Hutchison.

I am the beating heart behind North Texas Nerd. I have always been fascinated with computers ever since I was a small child. I even have warm memories of playing games on the old DOS system. Nevertheless, I have tried to keep my fascination of computers always up-to-date.

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas. Any free time I had during college I devoted to designing and publishing websites, graphics, and other web-related products. After graduating, I felt there was no better time to seriously pursue my interest in computer-related services such as website and graphic design.

My whole life I've been called a "nerd" because of my love of computers. It took some time but now I proudly accept the name and even take pride in being called a "nerd."
